Been a long time since I posted last. Not much going on with the pottery. And we had been in the great state of Texas for a week! (hey, cousin Cheryl :) Had a nice Halloween. Outdoor fire pit, carved pumpkins...neighbors dog howled like a werewolf most of the night...perfect!

Halloween decorations
I'm envious of everyone who has decorated for Halloween already!
I finally got some decorations up Saturday and snapped a few photos.

Fall 2010
This past weekend in Ohio was beautiful. It felt like fall was truly here. We went to visit a friend who owns an esoteric book store and bought some incense. We walked for a while in the Possum Run prairie which is a park we drove to on our way home. Gorgeous tall grasses swaying in the wind. The colors bleached out by the sun and a clear blue sky. The evening was clear and cool, perfect for a bonfire, burning said incense and carving the first pumpkin. Sure, maybe it's tad early. I love fall and Halloween though and want to stretch out the season as long as I can.

Candy Bowl in progress
Working on a new technique (well, new to me I've seen similar stuff in craft shows.) Finished, it should be a nice stark black and white design. I can just picture the old black and orange wax wrapper candies inside. Mmmmm, candy...what a great holiday.
